For me, the Blue Pond was at the top of my list of things that I wanted to see on this tour. I love photos of the pond done by Kent Shiraishi and never dreamed that I would someday get to see the pond for myself. It was a great photo opportunity.
The best, best thing was the easy accessibility. This is the route from the bus, to the pond and back.
This is my first glimpse of the pond. It took only about a minute to get there. I couldn't believe it. So easy.
It was a bit overcast which made for perfect picture taking.
The trail goes nicely around the side of the pond.
It was pretty crowded.
But there was enough room for you to stop and take photos without hindering the procession.
I would love to return in the winter to take pictures of snow-laden tree limbs.
I liked that there was a restroom at the end of the trail. There was also soft serve for sale, but with the picture taking and the waiting in the restroom line, I ran out of time.

Gorgeous! Please paint it, too!
Glad you can mark it off your bucket list. I wonder if there's fish in the pond?
I want to blow up one of your pics and frame it. I absolutely love that blue hue!
