I had a little better sleep than the night before so I was a tiny bit more clearheaded at breakfast time and managed to take some photos of the spread.
Here's my breakfast. The dish below the miso soup is homemade tofu with ponzu. I liked it a lot.
I took the photo below from our room after breakfast at around 7:30ish. It's the area fronting JR Obihiro Station. I thought it was kinda strange how there were hardly any cars or people about. In the background is Nagasakiya where me and Cleta went the night before right after dinner. It was about an hour before closing time so we headed straight to the grocery department (our favorite). We also got to check out the Daiso store there, but I only bought a few items. Daiso doesn't seem to have the appeal that it once did for me since we now have our own store in Hawaii.
Planny flowers. That's what this Hokkaido Lavender Tour was all about . . . and it didn't disappoint. Although it did rain on a few days while we were there, it didn't rain on any of our flower-viewing days. Yay! I must apologize beforehand for my lack of photos. I realized while on this trip that I just don't have the stamina like before, and even though I took the tiniest camera I own, jet lag and age got the best of me, and taking photos often took a backseat. I haven't really seen all of my pictures yet. I'm only viewing them as I prepare them for this blog. Hope they'll be adequate. That being said, here goes. We had breakfast buffets on everyday of our tour. I am totally not a breakfast eater, and although there was a big selection to choose from this was the best I could do at 6:30 in the morning. The miso soup was really good. Rice was awesome everywhere, and I ate LOTS of it.
This is the bus that took us all over. Our first stop on this day was about 2 hours away.
This was at our rest stop.
There was a dog park there.
Cookie making class at Ryugetsu Sweetpia Garden.
On the road again.
Look da bee!
We all had the same thing for lunch. All I can say is the miso soup, salad and tsukemono were good. Oh, and the rice that was under the rather-not-too-tender pork was good too.
