I Made Manju!

WHAAAAT??!!  I know . . . I made manju! First time! And was good!

Leslie gave me some pumpkin butter manju about a month ago, and it was so ono that I kept craving it. I asked her for the recipe even though I was thinking that it probably was too hard for me.

I decided to make it for Thanksgiving and was totally shocked that it came out.

Sorry, too lazy to type out the recipe for you.

Dean, yah, it's wonderful!

Aunty, me too . . . easy and ono works!

K Mich. Couldn't find pumpkin butter so got almond butter instead. Gotta get the tsubushian and I'll be good for another batch.

Instead of pumpkin/almond butter, do you have any other suggestions to use? What other pairings go well with tsubushian ?

Julie, I bought some almond butter from Whole Foods but haven't tried it yet. A friend suggested that I use half the amount since it's lacking the pumpkin and might end up being too oily.

Jenny, I got mine from Leslie. She said that Williams and Sonoma has it. I made another batch and used almond butter instead and came out good too.

It was good, Mmiissee. I hope you get to make some!
