I picked up dinner from Peace Cafe yesterday. I first blogged about the place about 7 years ago when my cousin Roger told me about it. You can check out that post here.
The chalkboard was different, but the interior looked pretty much the same as before.
Here's what I got: Katsu Plate ($13.00)
BBQ Tempeh Plate ($13.00)
Poke Bowl ($12.25)
Tex Mex ($13.75)
I liked all four dishes, but I wouldn't mind going back and trying something else . . . maybe the BLT or the Ramen Bowl.
They look ok...but does it keep you full? Or do you get hungry sooner than if you ate "real" meat, chicken or fish? I wouldn't mind trying but I don't think I would do well without animal protein. LOL

Hmmm, I don't know how to react...LOL...it doesn't look appetizing to me!
I know what you mean, Mich. Takes getting used to.
Another good vegan place is by Manabus - Loving Hut, or something like that. They are cute people working there. Very happy.
But then, I cannot give you recommendation because I didn't eat their stuff. I made takeout and took to a vegan person who LOVED it.
hmmm i wanna try now. I wonder if Randy has ever been there. Your katsu looks good!

Aunty, the food looks good on Yelp. Only thing . . . they close from 2:30 to 5:00 . . . right when I would be picking up food to take home for dinner.
Les, the katsu was great when it was hot but not as great once it cooled down.
Izsmom, I seem to be hungry all the time now!
Thanks Jenny! For sure I'll try that next time.
No worries, Anon . . . I know exactly what you mean, and you're totally correct.
I noticed that right away, Myko.
