Nah . . . only kidding . . . it's not a donut bracelet. But it looks like one, right? Leslie gave it to me. She said that it's from Liliha Bakery. I liked it a lot, but I'm "trying" to diet (again) so I ate only one ball. I saved the rest for Wendell. About a half hour later I ate another ball. Later, another one. And then another one. Wendell ended up getting three balls.
I just couldn't resist . . . it's poi mochi . . .
Damn you, Leslie!

did you ever go to Mr. Donut in Japan? It's a huge chain nationwide. They make a mochi donut that looks exactly like this Liliha Bakery donut and I guess they use mochi flour, hence the name. They have many different flavors too. I have a friend who goes to Japan every year and they only book hotels close to a Mr. Donut! It really is good, and I'm not a donut eater. Someone brought poi donuts in yesterday morning too, I'm glad I got one before they disappeared. v
Oh, you sound like me! I told my family that I'm on a diet, no desserts for me. But what happens? They bring home pastries, rumcake, etc. and I of course cannot hurt their feelings so I have to take a small piece, but then I have to take another small piece, before I realize I ate the whole donut or the slice of cake, etc. But, today for sure, gotta stay strong! LOL
Yup, just found out about those poi donuts recently too. Good stuff!!! Bought 3 and ended up finishing them off in one sitting. Good thing I bought only 3. LoL!!!!
V, I have! Only one time . . . in Kyoto with Leslie. I remember having just eaten and not being hungry though. Next time, I'll make sure to try the mochi donut!!
Izsmom, I agree, you cannot hurt their feelings!
Sooooo funny, Lance!
You're right, Aunty. And I always seem to want to make Leslie happy too.

you cannot have a successful diet regime when you have good friends. they want to make you happy, so eat, and be happy.
looks terribly delicious.
