krazy rates! beautiful photos
Maybe $3 kamaaina rate woulda been good yah, Kat?
They should let locals go for free.
We went years ago, before Iniki, before had big stores, and as we were approaching the lighthouse, my young son stopped on the trail, looked out, and then turned to me and said, "It's so beautiful, yeah?"
Made my heart weep with gladness, that the beauty of the islands was realized by him. Too many times we just take for granted what we have.
Sadly, he lives in San Francisco now and doesn't seem to miss Hawaii. Tha's okay. It touched him that day.
I love lighthouses! Picture still beautiful with the ocean in the background. After your Kleenex all over the laundry post I've been checking pockets religiously haha
hahaha I wonder how many people think we're cheapos cause we didn't want to pay 5 bucks! :D
Awesome pics Jalna. Ya know, I got really mad when they started charging to go to Haunama Bay! I had been going there since I was a kid in the 1950's! And then charging to hike Diamond Head. But at least I could hike Diamond Head from my back yard, and escape the rip off artists! Our house is on the backside of Diamond Head at the top of 22nd Ave. I'm not very happy with what my home State has become, in many other ways too.
That totally is so touching, Aunty, that he realized how beautiful it was.
So funny, Susan!
Les, I think nobody thinks we're cheapos.
I agree with Aunty and you, Mark . . . locals should be able to go for free.
