Congrats!

Next time I get lime from our neighbor, can you start it for me? Sour juicy lime like the kind we had in the old days. We used to cut a hole in the top, stick a li hing mui in it, and have a puckered up lips and mouth after indulging. SO ono!

Thanks, Susan.

You're growing more lemons? Gee those don't look like my Meyer lemon seeds.

whoo hoo!

Yah, Kay. I only have one surviving plant from my previous batches. I'm good at sprouting um, but suck at keeping them alive.

Ditto, Kat!

Sorry I typed free "Trees" wrong! It was a typo! Because I was so excited for you, and typing way too fast Jalna! ; ) ....hehe

I just loves seeds! Remember when we were little kids and our schools would teach us all how to grow from seeds?

jalna said...

LOL!! I knew what you meant, Mark. I remember doing some kind of seed at school, and mine failed.

Our teacher would give us seeds. And we would plant them in small cups with dirt that she would provide. She would tell us to take them home and put them on our window sill facing the sun. And after so many days, and after they grew, she said to bring them back and we would compare the plants. And the kid with the biggest plants got a prize! Sweet! ; )

It was actually so fun to wake up every day and see that they grew even more!

Bean sprouts grew the fastest if I remember right.

Wow, that was one good teacher you had, Mark.

Cool!

Wow! How did you do that? Look promising!

Mark Shelby said...

Nippon Nin ....one way to start seeds fast is to put them in a folded wet paper towel.

That looks like a paper towel that Jalna is using.

They stay moist better, and grow roots much faster because there is no resistance of the dirt.

But they can't stay in the paper towel long. Once the roots look good, then into a very small container with dirt.

It's fun! ; )

Just found some info on it here...
