I hope you do get to sewing again, Deanna!! Thanks for taking the time to comment.
Wow! And it worked! Yae!!! You are so darn creative, Jalna.
Ummmm... I have a pair of capris that I'd like to send you. The zipper broke. Now you've got me thinking about repairing it instead of throwing it away. Hmmmm...
These are great and good job reusing things Jalna!
Wow. Very talented (your stitches are so straight, unlike mine).
Wow you are so crafty!! I've been taking sewing lessons since September and still afraid to tackle zippers. You make them look so easy!
OMGawwwdddd you must have a good thread cutter to take off those zippers. Me thinks you are one of mucho macho patience !!
so pretty!
OK! You did motivate me enough to get off my duff today and fix the capris and sew a new cover for my busted up cushion.
You should try fixing it, Kay. Maybe put velcro instead . . . except would probably be embarrassing in the restroom making that "ripping" sound. Hahahaha.
Thanks, Alibaba!
Lorna, my machine has a "ridiculously slow" slow speed, and that's what I used when doing the zippers.
It's great that you've been taking sewing lessons, Taryn! Very cool! Zippers intimidate me too. So I hand basted them on first. Takes time, but makes it easier for me when comes time to do the actual sewing.
Seam ripper, Didi. It did take me awhile.
Thanks, Kat!

I just love garage sales and anything with "it was a really good deal"....after my story! ; )
Keep going Jalna!
Very very nice!I'm so impressed...how did you find time to do all that? You know, you could sell those at swap meet or boutique...so cute and loved the choice of fabrics.
Thank you, Akemi! I'm semi-retired now, so I got lots of free time! Yahooooo!
