Metamorphosis - Part 1

I slept on the couch in the living room next to the caterpillar last night . . . just in case . . . but nothing happened, which is a good thing because mostly I just slept.  I probably woulda missed The Big Event.

Only thing . . . if the change was gonna happen this morning, it needed to happen before 8:15 a.m. because that's when I had to leave . . . with my camera.  Geri had texted me earlier and had said that once the caterpillar's antennae started crinkling up, then BAM things were gonna happen FAST, so that's what I kept looking for.

At around 7 a.m. I noticed that The Cat's antennae started looking a bit crooked . . . or was I imagining it?  Wasn't sure.  Then at 7:30 a.m. things started happening . . . for sure . . . no doubt.  In my excitement, I think I musta nudged either the table or the tripod because most of my footage taken during this crucial time turned out blurry.  (&@9!!!!

Buuuuuut, other than the blurry footage, and dog/people walking back and forth across my background during shooting, and the oft fluctuating window light, and the fact that my memory cards ran out of space TWICE during peak shooting moments . . .  Other than that . . . I think things went pretty well.  At least I was home for The Event.

Music: Aqua by Kitaro

Now, cross your fingers that I'll be home for the Next Event . . . Metamorphosis - Part 2.

You did such a good job - the music, the light changing in the background added to the ambiance, and the metamorphosis - I was in awe to be able to see it happening!!! Thank you so much. Can't wait to see Part 2.

Awww, thanks for being so positive about the light changing. Now I like it too, Celia!

So funny, N . . . "butterfly coach", but really she was so helpful.

Glad you enjoyed it, Dean.

I'm thinking the same thing, Les! Or take off!

OMG..this is awesome! How large did this video end up being that it took 2+ SDHC cards? is it shot at HD? The background music matches so much too. Thanks for sharing this! I can't wait for the sequel! :-)

Shun Wah, I think it's shot in HD . . . I'm not even sure, but it takes up so much memory. I read somewhere that I should get at least 64GB cards. The largest cards I have are only 8GB!!!

It looks like me when I'm sweaty and trying to get out of a sports bra -- only it's a prettier sight than me! But honestly, so much energy goes into the development of the chrysalis. Just amazing!
