New iPhone

Wendell got us iPhones.  I'm so untechy that I woulda been happy with my old-school phone forever. But Time and Technology marches on and you just gotta go with the flow . . . plus Wendell said he got us a good deal . . . something like we're paying almost the same thing for so much more.

Of course we didn't know how to activate AT&T and transfer our stuff from our old phone to the new, so we went to the Kapahulu branch of AT&T to have them do it for us.  A young, cute haole guy helped us. He did everything so fast. He helped Wendell first. He tap, tap, tapped on his computer; tap, tap, tapped on their phone; tap, tap, tapped on Wendell's old phone; busted it open; fast, fast, fast; got some little card thing out.  He talked fast too.  Asked Wendell some questions; asked for his ID card.  I couldn't keep up with what was going on.  I started going into Burger King-Drive-Through-panic mode.

I got out my ID card . . . wanted to be all ready when it came my turn.  Then suddenly, Young Guy looks at me and says, "Looksliketheaccountisinyourname. What'sthelastfour digitsofyoursocialsecuritynumber?"  I said, "Uh . . . uh . . . uh . . . Angus Burger with bacon and cheese."  Okay, no I didn't really say that . . . but I felt like it.

I only have a Smart phone, and still can't figure out how go hands-free although my son showed me once. All of the fancy "apps" are meaningless. You'll learn quickly, though, as my younger sister LOVES and swears by her iPhone. BTW, my potato wedges didn't look as good at Landon's, but there was a lot of flavor on them.

The people at apple should know more about the iPhone. Just go in and ask questions if you have any. They also offer daily work shop to get you started on your new iPhone.

I laughed out so hard. Sooo funny! I don't have a iPhone yet. I have a old not so smart phone, no camera, no GPS, nothing. I will getting one in July. My husband said he will teach me how to use then. I'm afraid he will loose patient with me just like the time he lost his temper on me leaning to drive a long time ago.

LOL, thanks for the encouragement, Erick!

OMG Akemi, your husband taught you to drive! He's so brave!
