Special Olympics Polar Plunge 2013

The Special Olympics' Polar Plunge was held yesterday on the lawn at Restaurant Row.  The event is held annually at the beginning of April.  It's choke good fun and raises money for a very worthy cause.

Here's my favorite shot of the day . . . Erick getting splashed.  It's a totally staged shot.  I asked two plungers to give me a BIG splash, and I asked Erick to stand right in front of the slide. And they all agreed!!  Howzdat yah!  Erick's such a pal . . .  always game.  Next year I'm gonna go for a side view splash shot.  Hahaha!  Erick, bring your raincoat.

I missed the people in costume, Les. I think they were limited in what they could wear because of safety issues. Still was fun though.

Ha, ha, what a moron for agreeing to get soaked with freezing water. Nice shot tho! LOL

Special Olympics came up with a great idea, sliding into freezing water. Looks like it was fun for the participants! Thanks for these great pictures and being there for a great cause.

I love it that you're always a willing participant, Erick.

Thanks Celia.
