Damn Rabbit

My lemon plants are like my babies.  Every morning when I go out to give them some water, I sit down and look at each and every one of them.  I inspect them for bugs. I look at all their new leaves and thorns. I even count their leaves.

This morning I was doing my normal routine and I saw this.  I thought, "Whatda??"  DAMN RABBIT!!!  My plants are not even on the side of the yard that the damn rabbit was in the other day.  I thought that they would be safe as long as I shut the gate.

Then I saw this plant.  HOW MANY LEAVES DOES IT HAVE?  HAH?

ZEROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOTHING!!!  And it was one of my favorites.  It had big, long leaves.  BEFORE. But not anymore. NNNNOOOOOOOOOO. NOW GOT NOTHING!!!

I put my plants here for now, including the leafless one.  Wendell said I can't leave them there. *AHEM*  I said calmly, "I know, they need sun anyway."

I looked for every piece of wood, board, grill, plank, cement block that I could find and did this. Wendell wants to go talk to the neighbors.  I don't want him to.  We don't know them at all, and I'm afraid Wendell's gonna get pissed off and say something to make um mad. So he's gonna go to City Mill and look for  some kind of wire fencing material for me instead.

Here's Damn Rabbit.  He was watching me the whole time I was constructing my barricade.

The rabbit came back the next day? It's really surprising the rabbit can actually fit between the wooden fence. The bunny is cute. Bad bunny.

oh my! lol, sorry, I did chuckle a little. :) I think the wire fencing should work; make sure it is in the dirt, just in case the rabbit decides to burrow under the fence.

Jos, it IS kinda funny even though Damn Rabbit pisses me off. I am worried about him digging, so been reading up on ways to scare him off, just in case.

I brought my lemon plant home, and the leaves are gone on them too! I was thinking that bugs got to them.. maybe we have a rabbit on the loose too! I'm hoping the leaves will grow back :(.

Awwww Taryn, too bad. I wonder what happened. I'm still watering the stick and hope that it gets revived too.

The rabbit looks too cute to eat... my brother-in-law knows a good rabbit stew recipe.

Anyway, I enjoyed reading this post and fun comments.

Are you KIDDING me? I thought you might be my neighbor! I have a post going up on Friday about a pet rabbit eating up all my mondo grass. Didn't touch our lemon trees though, thank goodness! What a coincidence!!!
