Aunty's MRI Results

Aunty had her MRI exam two days ago.  She had it at the Ala Moana branch of my working place, Yeoh and Muranaka Radiology.  Usually, I try not to mention our full name on my blog 'cause I'm afraid that patients who are trying to find out about our services will google the name and will get to my blog instead of our website. I mention it at this time though, because I just want to let you all know about what a wonderful and caring staff we have.  Everyone, from our receptionists, to our techs, to the billing people, to the radiologists always put the patients first and try really hard to give the best care that they can. I am so proud to call them my coworkers.

If your doctor ever refers you for radiology services, try come check us out . . . you'll see what I mean.  We do all kine stuff . . . MRI, CT, mammograms, ultrasounds, etc.  We open early and close late for some exams.  Aunty's MRI was scheduled at 8:15 pm.  Wendell didn't have to take off from work.

I should mention that our name is changing.  We are growing a lot, and with eyes on the near as well as far future we will soon be called Hawaii Diagnostic Radiology Services.  Only the name is changing . . . that's all.

Lason and Richard took care of Aunty.  She was nervous . . . I could tell . . . but they made her feel comfortable, gave her earphones so that she could listen to music . . . and she did good.

According to Aunty's MRI results, all of the muscles in her rotator cuff are completely torn. Her tendons are retracted and her muscles have atrophied.  Aunty still has a long, long road ahead of her to recovery.

Didi, I don't think Aunty can even do any exercises. There are no muscles attached to the bone. But you know what, we faxed the report to her ortho doctor 2 days ago, and still haven't heard from him. I wanna change to somebody else. From Day One when he made her wait a day with a dislocated shoulder, I lacked confidence in him.

Aww Kay, good luck with your recuperation.

Thanks Rand.

if you feel that way about her dr, you should change. i feel bad for aunty but she is lucky to have you and wendell to help her with recovery.

Thank you Waibu.

We are changing doctors, Grace. Wendell doesn't want me to make any waves, but Aunty's ortho doctor TOTALLY SUCKS. We already wasted so much time with her recuperation because of him.
