Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars

I know, I know . . . what am I doing making this when I'm on a diet . . . but it's not for me . . . other people in my house need dessert, you know. And then I gotta taste a little bit to make sure it's okay. I made it this past weekend and I took whatever was left to work today. It got wiped out . . . everybody liked it.

I used this Peanut Butter cookie mix. Soooooo easy. You just add water, vegetable oil and 1 egg to the mix, press into a pan and bake. Cool 5 minutes and spread melted chocolate chips on top. The directions on the back of the bag were so off. It said to use a 9 x 13 pan . . . too big . . . I used a 7 x 11 pan instead. It said to melt 2 cups of chocolate chips . . . too much . . . I used 1 cup. It said to bake 12 to 15 minutes . . . not long enough . . . I baked it for about 1/2 hour. I wonder if they even tested it out or just guessed.
