Buffalo Boys Hoagies

This is Tomas Arana. He and Eric Richter are the owners of Buffalo Boys Hoagies which opened just two weeks ago. It's a little past Kokua Market on King Street in Moiliili. They're open from 10:30 a.m. to 3 a.m. daily, so it's perfect for you late-night snackers.

Me and my mom went to check it out today. We decided to share the second item in the Hoagies section, the Fresh Shroom Hoagie ($7.29 for an 8-inch).
Here's Tomas with our order.
The steak was tender and all chopped up, wedged into a lightly toasted crusty white roll.
Here's my mom's reaction to her first bite. Notice that she cut her half in half 'cause she said it was too much for her and she was gonna finish the rest at home.
This is what we ended up with. It was so, so ono.
The fries too were good, but we did leave a little of the fries uneaten. I AM dieting, after all.

I went to Philly twice over 20 years ago and ever since then I've been looking for a good cheese steak. I have to go check it out to see how good it is. Thanks for the posting!

LOL! Was that look on your mom's face "a good look" or was it "I'm not sure about this". Hoagies are really ONO! I like the "clean plate" so it no doubt was very good!

Ny and Betty, it was really good. Me and my mom kept laughing with each bite because of her "taking half home comment" until her piece was all gone. Erick, this was my first hoagie so I don't know how it compares. Let me know.

Your close up of the hoagie with the melted cheese looks like it's to die for!! Nice shot of the empty plates too!
